Hey guys I am going to apply to dental school next july. I am not sure about how soon I need to start studing for the D.A.T.. Could you guys tell me about when you started looking at study books and when you started to study daily? Thanks Guys?

*edit* I don't know how to read. *edit*

I studied daily during summer and only cracked the books before that:
1. While in math
2. While I was dead during counterstrike

if you're talking about studying for the DAT, take it before May of the year you plan to apply (i.e. the year before you plan to enter d-school). Give yourself about 3 months to study for it. I think that should be plenty of time to study without cramming. You could theoretically do it in about a month, if you study for about 4+ hours every day.

I would focus on your classes and not touch a DAT book until March and then go 1-2 hrs a day, ramp it up to 2-3 hrs a day two weeks before.

When you study depends on the person. If you havnt had general bio or chem in a while, you may need to start studying asap to get caught up. I studied off and on for about a year, then more hardcore about a month before.
