How specific to be in "plans" question of Secondaries?

I'm currently applying to jobs and looking for volunteer positions starting in September (currently I'm employed at a full time job). And I'm pretty sure of what type of job/clinical volunteering I am looking for- can I still list them in the "2010-2011 academic year plans question"? How specific do I need to be about the nature of these potential opportunities? Can I just describe why I'm pursuing these activities and what I hope to gain from them?

Thank you!

I don't see why you couldn't talk about these plans, even if you don't have anything definite. You could always send an update letter later on when you land a job. If you end up doing something different than what you originally planned, just be prepared to explain what you are doing now in interviews. Plans can change, I don't think it would look bad necessarily, as long as you are doing something!

The 'what you hope to gain from them' part is good, I'd definitely include that. Good luck!
