If a school requires two science letter but don't specify beyond that do you think 2 from science teachers would work? (some schools specify graded science work and I know that won't work). Like for one of them I did not take a class with the prof but know her through other means? I feel like they get such a flood of applications they won't look too deep into that?

I would contact the specific school.

as in science teachers from hs?
if so, no that'd be a bad idea. Not takinng a prof from you got a rec isnt a problem if the faculty member was say your research advisor. Needs to be a university faculty member though -- no TAs, no GSIs, etc.

Actually, letters from TAs and GSIs co-signed by professors are almost universally accepted.

Honestly, I think unless you try to fool them and get caught, they're not super strict. If you read "science teacher" to mean "a person that teaches science" then your letter is fine. I think you should be fine at that school, though others may have more specific policies.
