Hello all! I just wanted to get your input on my application to see if it looks pretty good.

I know that the DAT is going to be the biggest factor, but when I take it on the 31st I'll have like 6 weeks of studying about 5-6 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'm feeling pretty good about it.

I have a 3.73 GPA and 3.5 sci GPA. 100 hours of shadowing at a teaching orthodontist (president of board of alumni at U of D mercy). 8 Hours at a general dentist. 3 Hours at a different orthodontist.

40 hours of volunteer for actor and techies. 30 hours of volunteer for gleaners community food bank. Member of my university's pre-dental society. Taught a religion class for my church.

Spent a lot of time at work so that's why EC's are so low. I've worked for the same company since I was 16 years old (5 years), and have put in roughly 5000 hours there. I'm not sure if that's going to look good on an app (shows loyal and dedication to a company???)

Schools I applied to are:
Boston University
New York University
Nova
Temple
U of D Mercy
University of Michigan
University of Illinois at Chicago
New Jersey

*I'm a Michigan resident so Illinois is probably out of the question

So what do you think my DAT scores have to be to have a shot at some of these schools??? Do you guys think I have a decent application, or is it lacking in some areas?

If you want to figure out what you should get on the DAT and compare it to the schools you are applying to, go to this link and plug in some scores with your current gpa. Plug in 18 and greater and see where that approximately places you compared to schools acceptances. The other thing is you've applied now so if you were lacking in a certain area, its kind of too late to change it for this cycle.

i think a 19 AA and 20 PAT will be good enough to get you interviews.
