I'm an attending with a great interest in the politics of medicine. Lately I've appreciated the stimulating discussions on this forum. Thank you all very much.

I have come to learn that medical students today are either a lot more aware and interested in the real-life aspects of medicine than when I was a student or that it's an illusion that they are, simply because of the growing power of sites like this to allow them to communicate better.

In either case, it doesn't matter the reason. It's a good thing and I encourage you to keep it up or maybe even turn it up a notch. Thanks again!

Oh by the way, on another note, it's a bit annoying that now when I listen to Pandora on the computer that I access this site with, I get ads telling me to apply to Ross University.

Likewise - I especially enjoyed the discussion in this thread regarding the shifting of roles in the healthcare delivery system. I didn't participate personally since I didn't have much to contribute but found the arguments presented by the majority of posters in the thread to be extremely insightful. This post in particular I've bookmarked for future reference. Its honestly stuff I was curious about but never really found an avenue to ask about on shadowing opportunities and the like.

I'm hoping that you and others continue posting here in what admittedly limited free time you all have. I've learned a lot more in that discussion about the healthcare system than I have in my medical education so far.
