Hi everyone, I am a 4th yr medical student IMG that is interested in doing anesthesia. I didn't do so great on Step 1 (197) and am about to take Step 2 next month. I am worried that my score will prevent me from getting a spot, especially in the places that I want to go to (U of Miami, U of Florida, NYU, SUNY-Brooklyn, G-town). I am got A's and B's in all my cores and my GPA is a 3.2, but how should I get my LOR and how many?

Also, with my scores where would be the best places to apply? Thanks for the help in advance.

Forget NYU or even SUNY-brooklyn.......try NY Methodist, Maimonides, Brookdale...

For you it's all about Step 2, you need to make a 220 or so and then you'll have a good shot at those places.
