So how did everyone approach this?

Any ideas on getting me started? I've had this app for like 2 weeks now. Getting sick of staring at my screen. Ive tried to get started a few times.. but have gotten no where.

(for none dartmouth folks the prompt was: Please share with us something about yourself that is not addressed elsewhere in your application and which could be helpful to the Admissions Committee as we review your file.)

If the application is on your computer screen, I would approach it VERY slowly in a crouched position from the opposite corner of the room...being very careful not to startle it.

Then when you are within pouncing distance, jump violently into the seat and mash your hands down onto the keyboard and see if any intelligible words were formed. If so, make sure to incorporate said word(s) into your response.

Almost all applications have some permutation of this question. I think you might want to take a different angle at something you already discussed in your application, or else talk about some significant life experience. I know it feels like you poured your heart out into your AMCAS statement but there must have been some nuggets that were left on the cutting room floor...

Tell them something about your personality and how that affects how you approach life. Tell them ANYTHING that lets them know what a cool person you are.

This is an opportunity to discuss what you know about woodworking, european government, stamp collecting or whatever else you find fascinating in life - and then you can show how that knowledge makes you a better person.

I already weaved one of my biggest passions into my PS.. darn it. maybe I should have gone with something more traditional for my PS and saved this for secondaries!

A secondary passion of mine is travelling.. do you think it is necessary that I draw this back to medicine or something somehow? or not really?

on my amcas essay i wrote about this volunteer experience i had in africa

on the dartmouth essay i decided to write about how i traveled/backpacked in southeast asia this summer and what it taught me and stuff....i did include a specific event about my experience in africa also....i want to work internationally so i just tied it all in....if u have any other questions on traveling just pm me
