So, I don't know how to start with the PAT.

The other day I noticed it takes me a lot of time to choose the correct answer.

I need more practice. But I don't want to dive into hard questions right away that would discourage me from keep on going.

I have Crack the dat and bootcamp, but I don't want to waste the tests before I know the strategies well and practice each section alone without ruining full length tests that I would use later.

Any Idea on how to do that? and where to begin? Are there some videos that you reocmmend watching?
Do I solve untimed or with time?

If you have any other resources to suggest that start easy then get harder, I am willing to try it.

Thanks for your help.

What sections are you having trouble with exactly?

Perhaps check out some of the tutorials at DATBootcamp, some of them are really good. CracktheDAT does have solution videos that may help you approach some of the questions but not sure how good they are since I never used them.

I would start with some of the generators on BC if you don't want to waste the tests. The biggest thing that helped me was to start with one. I started with angles and once I got a good strategy I kept practicing but did it less. I then moved on to the next one and practiced again until I felt comfortable.

This helped me personally get better at them.

Practice with generators. Search the forum. Lots and lots of threads on this.

Great ideas thank you, the only problem I noticed generators are only for 4 kinds of problems, key holes, and TFE don't have generators what should I do about them then?

I started with key holes and I am already struggling with timing, I get the right answer but each question would take 2-3 minutes.

The TFE is still kind of a generator but is more about picturing 3d models which honestly is the most helpful thing for TFE. I personally haven't had to put a lot of time into TFE because I, for some weird reason, am able to visualize 3d models fairly well.

Keyholes is a hard one, and from what many have been saying recently the actual DAT is even harder. The thing with the PAT is most of these the best thing is practicing. The more that you practice the better you get at noticing trends and get faster at your strategy. Sorry I am not more help.
