How to approach the next 7-8 months before Medical School

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I interviewed at KCU and though I'm turning down the acceptance, I thought my interviewer gave me some great advice. He said (speaking of me and my wife) to make sure our relationship is rock solid before starting school. Also he said once I'm done with applications he would recommend just reading scientific stuff to get my head back into science mode. So we are going to Costa Rica and maybe Belize (leaving the kids with the in-laws).

So besides that I will just be cutting back on volunteering/shadowing so I can spend more time with the wife and kids in general. And trying to figure out what if we are selling our small business or going to try to higher someone to manage it while we are away...

I originally planned to study some but I don't think self study will get me very far and my work schedule won't really let me take any classes... so much for that.

Any one know if I can do FAFSA without knowing for sure which school I am going to? If I were to get an interview and acceptance to my state school I would choose that. But I can still fill out FAFSA and stuff now, can't I?

Just started a new research job the week I got my acceptance. I will probably work here for most of the time up until class, the project we are working on is really awesome and is what I want to be working on as a doc. I get married in March! After that IDK....I've always dreamed of hiking the AT (or most of it), but I'll have to see where life is after March.
I was just talking about hiking the AT with my brother. What a coincidinky dink.
I watched some show about it, but it is intimidating. I rambled all over North Yorkshire while in England. I need to get back in shape by hiking.

Easiest one that comes to mind is to make sure your vaccinations are set. Hep B series timeline is lengthy if you have to go through it again. Might as well get that squared away before leaving, especially if you're going out of state.
