This is driving me nuts.. So many of the Kaplan tests that are set up just like a section of the full exam (for example, 3 passages/50 questions in 60 minutes for RC) are not scored according to the 0-30 scale. It puts it in a % score. How do I score these the way the DAT scores?? The practice ADA test tells how to calculate everything else, but their sample RC section only has 1 passage.

How do you calculate this? Example: For the last RC test I took, I got 43/50.

Any help would be much appreciated. I just want to know where I stand for the reading comprehension! Gracias!

Thanks for the scale, excusezmoi!

And thank you too, Mstoothlady! 🙂 RC is my strongest section.. and hopefully what will save my AA from the dreaded QR section (not a fan of math). I'm just praying not to get frapped!

RC was my srtongest section too, until the DAT came and i got my worst score there. Achiever etc.. are way too easy. On the real DAT there are much more tone questions and many impossible passages.

I was the exact opposite, RC was one of my weaker points leading up to the test and I thought I could do really well on QR ...you just don't know how things are going to work out on the real DAT...

Very true.. that could happen to me too! My method seems to work well though.. I read the whole passage quickly, and then the questions are pretty easy. Did the same thing on the ACT and got a 36/36. However, the DAT will be MUCH harder than the ACT's passages!! haha

yea I do the same. Last year when i was studying for DAT i was scoring 20-21 on RC on achiever & topscore and ended up doing really bad on the real thing. Not that I wasn't able to finish the passage or anything, those tone questions are just really tough!!! I hope i dont get struck by those tone questions this time too!!:scared:
