I have to take one last prereq this summer, before I can start med school this Fall. It's OK for me to take this class as a P/F class, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Do I approach the prof, or do I contact the school where I'm going to take this prereq's front office? Anyone have any experience with changing their class to a P/F class?

Try going back to the site where you initially registered for the class and there's a good chance you'll see the option to change your grading to P/NO. If that doesn't work, just contact the school.

Ummmmmmmm how about talking to your advisor. Your advisor might know better than a bunch of people on the internet.

For the logistics of how to change to P/F: yes. For the question on should the OP take the pre-req P/F: doubtful.

I would not take a pre-req P/F. I believe most schools require you to take prereqs for a grade. For all the schools that I had to manually enter prereqs on their secondary I am almost 100% sure they required them being taken for a grade(UMich for example).

I agree. Not a single school that I applied to accepted P/F for any required class. I never tried to get around it though because I never took a P/F class. I didn't even realize many undergrads still offered it because so many graduate and professional schools ignore it.
