I need some help on a quick theoretical situation. If I have 40 mg/mL of gentamicin, how do I make 60 mL of gentamicin stock solution with a final concentration of 4 mg/mL?

I always use M1V1=M2V2 for these problems:

(60 mL) (4 mg) = (40 mg) (x mL)

(60*4)/40 = 6

You would put 6 mL of the 40 mg/mL solution in with 54 mils of solvent.
