If anyone is feeling down about rejections or the wait, I recommend watching Orange County. Shawn Brumder get rejected from stanford and his brother Jack Black is hilarius. Not too many of us have as bad a week as his. This is definetly a pick me upper.

I think we need more threads like these. I think that is a great movie also, and this process is way to stressful to have only serious/hardcore pre-med threads on SDN.

Thanks Jccripe - I like this thread! A motivating book I recommend is "When the Phone Rings my Bed Shakes" It's about a doctor, Dr. Zazove, who is legally deaf (the title refers to a device to wake him up when he's on call). He writes about the obstacles he overcomes, like not getting into med school his first time around.
