Does anyone know if there is any sort of conversion table out there to translate a raw PCAT score into a percentile rank? In other words, is there a resource that matches up a particular raw score with the estimated percentile rank? I'm just trying to figure out approximately what raw score I need to earn in order to achieve at least a 70th percentile ranking.

Thanks...

Some schools look at the raw scores but most look at the percentile (which is based off of how everyone does)

Like they already said, it depends on other people taking the test on the same day with you. However, if your raw score is about 400-ish you will be around 70 percentile I think.

Thanks... so since a test taker's raw score can range from 200 - 600, would someone have a raw score of 400 if they got exactly half the questions correct, since 400 is exactly halfway between 200 and 600? If this isn't correct, do you know how many questions a test taker would have to get correct in order to earn a raw score of around 400?

This isn't quite accurate. Your percentile isn't based off of your performance compared to test takers on your test date. There is a normative sample that the percentiles are based on that allows comparison of test-takers at any date. See the Pearson documentation: http://pcatweb.info/downloads/Faculty/Interpreting_PCAT_Scores.pdf

For Liu they need at least a 380. I got a 392 and idk what it means exactly but
Just find out what is the min. That your school will take and go by that

What's a Good PCAT Score?

The PCAT is scored on a scale from 200-600 with the median being a 400. The 90th percentile is typically a 430. Many pharmacy schools require that you score above a particular level on your exam in order to be considered as a candidate for admissions. You should research the admissions requirements for the schools to which you plan to apply.

Thanks for the info. So I'm assuming there isn't really any sort of estimated scaled score-to-percentile rank conversion table I can reference to get an idea of how well I need to do on each section in order to get around a 68%-70% composite percentile score? I'm just trying to figure out if really high scores on the Biology, RC, and Verbal sections would be enough to offset significantly lower scores on the Chem and Quant sections and still achieve a 68 %ile rank.

You should be able to hit your goal percentile, but what is your idea of "really high" and "significantly lower"? It seems like Biology and Chemistry are weighted more, since I did pretty bad on quant/rc/verbal, and well on chem/bio and ended up with 94th percentile. But I'm not sure how it works honestly, but If you do really well on bio you should be fine.

what is your score like 400 300?

Verbal : 406 (58)
Biology : 447 (97)
RC : 411 (71)
Quant : 410 (67)
Chem : 472 (99)
Composite : 429 (94)

Aren't you in LIU right now? I took my PCAT in nyc too didn't you get a printout of it? or emailed results

I have not seen any reliable conversion that's publicly available from raw score to percentile. Sorry I cannot be of more help. Perhaps, try contacting Pearson.
