I spent my last semester studying for the MCAT nonstop and taking classes, thankfully I did well on it. But since graduating, I have done nothing but volunteer 3-4 hrs per day, play video games, and work on my application. I generally feel lethargic and unmotivated to do anything.

Has anyone else dealt with this? All advice is welcome.

Take a break. You earned it. No need to push yourself until you're ready to be pushed again. Take a nice little vacation. Go out with friends. Do something for your own personal enjoyment. Summer is 10 days away. Now, that doesn't mean to forget to keep your eyes on the prize. Nor does it mean to spend your entire summer doing nothing for your application

Take a well-deserved break after submitting your primary. If you feel burned out, don't start on secondaries until you feel motivated to again. Plan a vacation or something. Let yourself have sometime doing absolutely nothing pre-med/AMCAS related for a while.

I felt that way too...I have learned that I was sleep deprived so I quit caffeine not I sleep 10 hours a day lol

First, take a breath. You should probably take a break with your test out of the way (congrats btw!).

The next step is probably to determine why you're unmotivated. Do you need a break, and if so are you satisfied with the time you're spending or are there other things you want to do?

Not sure if this will resonate with you, but for me, lethargy is a bit of a cycle; the less I do, the less motivated I become, and so forth. So for me the key really was keeping busy with new things and ongoing plans, which helped me get through both during and after my app cycle. If this does resonate, then perhaps consider doing something different to get you in an action mindset (vacation, friend hangout, learn something new or take up a hobby).

Hope this helps a bit; not sure of your situation 100% but it's a start if you need it!
