So I've got a couple course from YSU that I'm considering doing grade replacement for. I'm doing AFS in TX but if I want to apply outside of the state it would help my cumulative a bit (increase it from a 3.6 to a 3.73) if I do grade replacement on 3 courses.

The one I was considering doing this semester was originally labeled "SOC 500, Fundamentals of Sociology." The course I was wanting to replace it with at local CC is labeled "SOCI 1301, Introduction to Sociology." How can I find out if these will be equivalents for D.O. grade replacement? As far I can see they were both basically Sociology 101 courses. YSU now names their SOC 500 as SOCIO 1500, introduction to Sociology.

You might consider calling AACOMAS and asking them directly.

Well I've done a bit more googling since then and it seems its pretty much a crapshoot, but I'm a bit of a gambler so I'll probably take that bet and take the courses (its only 3) in hopes that they will pay off. 1 of the 3 I'm 99.9% sure will, the socio class I'm about 80% will, the only unknown will be the American Criminal Courts class, so I may or may not take that.
