Hi, I was just wondering what you guys think a good response would in an interview if the interviewer asked about 3 C+'s I had during my undergraduate career. I was thinking about what a good answer would be and couldn't really come up with a good answer. I've always studied extremely hard in my classes(2 C+'s came from the same teacher, and both were O-Chem) and the other C+ came in my first science class i took at school. so would it be alright to just tell them that? if there is any extra advice on how to answer this hard question I would greatly appreciate it

Thanks a lot

tell them the truth. thats it. If you tried hard but just couldnt do well in the course, then tell them that. If it was your first science course, you were unsure how much you needed to prepare, werent sure how dififcult it was goign to be, then tell them that. nothing to be ashamed about.

On one of the secondaries i did it asked to explain any grade below a B...and i just told them its not like I was lazy or ignored the course....It was friken hard, and i tried my best to get an A. Unfortuantely in this case i got a B-, but i have nthing to be dissapointed about cuz i did everything i could do to well. I tried to put a positive spin on it at the end and i think it turned out well. If you want any more details for how I approached the question you can PM me.

exactly this. the committees know you are human; be honest about your grades and experiences, but think about the lessons you might have learned from them or how these experiences motivated you to work harder. you need to do your best, but you must also show the maturity to own up to any weaker parts in your applications and demonstrate your determination to get past these challenges.
