how to fax

when you fax a document, do you put 1 before the area code as if you were calling someone? Or do you just put area code and fax number? Im trying to fax a DAT.

you dont need the one. You can put it down if you want. it wont make a difference.

okay thanks. I put it through the fax machine, but it went through really quick, so I was unsure.

did you get the "ok" thingy or something to that effect? if the fax doesnt go through somehow the machine will let you know.

Everytime I send faxes to long distance #'s, I always include the "1". Sending a fax is just like a regular phone call. If the number is out of your area, then it is long distance, and should be dialed as you would if you were placing a long distance phone call.

You should always call to make sure they receive your fax. Especially something this important.
