(it's a safe link. dw)

Anyways, the answer is A but i don't understand why. what makes B not a major product and what exactly is a major product??? (we are in the second chapter of our textbook but it doesn't go into major products... only functional groups and IR).

I am only in my second week of orgo so i don't have much knowledge so could you really make your explanation kind of simple.

thank you in advance,
a struggling sophomore.

I am throwing my idea out there, but not 100% sure.

For one thing, A is less hindered to take the H+ since it has bent instead of trigonal pyramidal atomic geometry.

Secondly, electron-rich double bond on N allows stabler positive charge on nitrogen.
