Is glycolysis a spontaneous reaction?

I've seen conflicting information on whether or not glycolysis is a spontaneous reaction or not. Multiple sources say it is, while others say it's not.

The question can be answered by summing up the ∆G values for the ten steps. I assume the confusion stems from whether you consider ∆G˚ values or ∆G values (based on typical concentrations). I know I have not actually answered your question, but I think it's important to realize that most people will say it is spontaneous (energy releasing) and the few that disagree are too nit-picky to be worth the worry when it comes to how the MCAT will present it. The MCAT is designed to make you interpret and apply data, not settle an argument between scientists on an issue of semantics.

Glyconeogenesis is; glycolysis is not. Does that make sense?
