it sounds like some schools only have interview dates well out in next year now, like almost march!

Is there any way to still get an earlier date? Is it feasible to request to come in on Friday when they say they only interview on Tuesday or Thursday for exmaple?

I would be delighted to get interview and acceptences reagardless but still want to make sure i am doing everything i can in order to get the earliest interview date even if it's the difference b/t jan and march.

Any suggestions?

Call around first week of december. Those that already have multiple acceptances may choose to decline their interview spots and hence some should be available around that time.

I would make a pretty fair bet that no school is going to honor interview dates aside from those they outwardly offer. I doubt it would even be in your best interest to ask b/c it is a lil pretentious... But Jigabodo definitely does have a good point about checking in December. Also, just because an interview is March doesn't mean you're hopeless (as was the case for myself), though it does depend on the school. I applied late and was told by some schools that their class was filled (one of which that truly annoyed me was one that said their class was full BEFORE their application deadline date). But if a school knows how to manage their acceptances and truly do their part in offering interviews and acceptances to applicants that pay good money to be considered along the entire timeline... you should be fine... And as was my opinion last year during the process, if a school (both of which in my case had 200 slots) didn't have the good sense to keep even 10 spots (5%!!!) of their class open until the end of the process to allow for the applicants that applied closer to the DEADLINE that THEY THEMSELVES set, then it isn't a school that I would want to associate myself with anyway. The schools with class and good management in their admissions offices know how to work the numbers, and if the school is worth it, even late in the process you should have a shot... Good Luck

Hopeless-NO; Rare-YES. (Especially when holding at least an ace in your hand).
