I am currently on a waitlist for six schools. I have emailed the schools letter of intent, academic update, and extracurricular update. Besides sending emails, i have called schools three times since dec 1. None of these seems to be working. I have read stories on SDN where students were waitlisted at 5 or 7 schools and received official rejection from all in june. I am exhausted and want to get over with this.

What should I do now? Any tips?

Honestly, considering all you have done already, I would say the best option would be to play the wait game. Also, preparing for next cycle would not be too bad either.

Probably helps to not seem like a nuisance... But idk.

Personally I'd chill, nothing you do well impact an adcom, this is what they do for a career, they examine applicants thoroughly before making decisions, they don't just decide to accept someone because they were nice over the phone call they had.

How to get off a waitlist? Contact the school via whatever means you prefer and tell them to take you off their waitlist. Can confirm this works 100%.

On a serious note, after sending the schools your academic updates or letters of intent, I suggest you don't bother them anymore. It's just a waiting game now.

Best of luck!

I'm on a waitlist myself but I'm probably just going to sit back and be patient. They have you already ranked at this point and so whatever you do will probably not change that other than annoy them.

It definitely seems like you've done everything you could. Unfortunately, the waiting sucks. But it's still a long way till the beginning of dental schools this fall. So, keep your head up. I know it's easier said than done, but try to stay patient and hopeful.
Good luck.

You've done what you can. Good luck, and wishing you the best for the rest of the cycle. I know waiting can be stressful and it's easy to say from someone in my position who has heard back a yes/no from everywhere they applied, but just take it easy in the meanwhile. Finish up strong with school this semester or relax if you aren't enrolled.

Which schools have you been WL at?

What are your stats? Make sure your stats are competitive and apply broadly next cycle.

Pray!

But yeah, I hope you gonna get in!

Just don't lose hope!

But meanwhile keep working on bettering your chances, just in case you re-apply!

Waitlist is becoming synonymous to rejection these days.
Literally hundreds of people get onto the waitlist but maximum 10-15 are taken off the waitlist as the cycle is becoming competitive every year.

You have good stats (and two accounts? lol), don't know why you are struggling to get one acceptance.

given schools rank students, does it even make a difference if you write a letter of intent?
