hey guys,

I have an upcoming interview at NYU soon, and I am wondering if anyone knows how I can get to NYU from the JFK airport? I would appreciate your advice. Thank you!

You can take a taxi from the airport for around $50.

Also you can take the Airtrain to Jamaica station or Penn station and then just take the subway, taxi, or walk from there.

MrZ123,

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know how much it costs if I take the airtrain and subway? also, how long would it take? Thank you!

It would be cheap, but you would need to get specific instructions. Probably around $5-$10 max. I would say from JFK to NYU using Airtrain then Subway would take 1-2 hours depending one train times and if you get lost. I am no expert on NYU transportation though as I am from the burbs.

wow so the cab fare from JFK to NYU is $50!! gee... such an expensive interview is this coming out to be...

Only $25 from Laguardia.

I doubt you could get a cab from LaGuardia to NYU downtown for $25, especially with tip and toll charge. I would say $35 from LaGuardia, at $45 from JFK.

Airtran from JFK to the Jamaica Subway station: $5
"E" train subway to 53rd + Lexington: $2
Transfer at 53rd + Lexington to the "6" train subway: free
Get off of the "6" train at the "23rd St." stop and walk about 7 - 10 minutes to NYU dental at 24th & 1st.

$7 total, but you should have 1.5 hours on hand to make sure you are on time.
