How do we greet the interviewer once we enter the MMI room if we do not know their title? We only know their name.

For example, the name is John Smith, showing on the screen when we enter the video chat. Do we say, "Hello Mr. Smith."

Or if we don't even have the name of the interviewer:

"Hello Sir/Ma'am" <---- Would that be how you recommend greeting our interviewer whom we don't know the name to?

"Good morning" or "Good Afternoon" works for me. If you are from the South or interviewing in the South, Sir or Ma'am (if you can determine the individual's gender) might be nice but if you weren't brought up using that honorific it can seem like an affectation.

I said “Hi, I am ____ it is very nice to meet you.”

In hindsight, this was probably awkward because it says names on zoom.
