I tried to go to a Cornell open house back in the spring but I got sick the week of and didn't go. I was hoping to go to one of their admissions tours this summer but by now all the tour dates are full. Long story short, I emailed them yesterday and asked to be put on the waiting list for all 3 summer dates, including one on June 12th. I didn't think they'd possibly have openings for that one since it's so soon, but they just emailed me saying that they have a spot for tomorrow.
Ok, so now I drop my plans and head out to Ithaca for the day. I'm fine with that, except of course that the last minute notice means that I don't have time to prepare and I get slightly anxious in situations like that.
I probably shouldn't be nervous at all, but for some strange reason, I am. So I come here and beg advice.
My biggest question...what does one wear to a tour? I know there will be a lot of walking involved and I'd usually just wear sneakers or something for that sort of thing. Do people get dressed up for these things??
I was planning on just bringing something to take notes with, but am I missing anything here? I'm probably just being a big ball of nerves for nothing, right? (Feel free to lie to make me feel better) 😉
