I have an interview for the 3rd of October and I hoping to push another school that is very close by to make a decisions on my application so that I can potentially save some money/time if they end up giving me an II later. Is it too close to send an in the area seeing as my interview is about 3 weeks out? Do these prompts reduce your chances at an II? How do you go about sending one of these prompts (wording, recipient, etc.)? I'll appreciate any and all help!

Doesn't hurt to send one. Pretty much state that you're in the area, what date, if they could possibly give an II at that time, and if they can't, state you're still willing to go again to the area.

Best case, they'll expedite your app and give you an II. Worst, they say they haven't reached you yet and will give a decision later.
