Is it weird to call a medschool in my area to ask what they look for?

Ok so weird question, but what are your thoughts on me calling a medschool that I really want to go to. calling meaning I call their admissions office? is that even a thing? thank you!!!

Look at thier mission statement, the rest of the school's websites, and go to any open house events they may have.

Also, inquire in the school-specific forums here on SDN.

Calling the school with your question isn't going to be helpful.

Why don't you attend a recruitment event or open house that they schedule? Do they do virtual office hours?

Read their website, particularly the portion on admissions, look at the MSAR, query admitted students on the school-specific thread here.

Those are going to be your best bets.
