It is October and I so far have not a single interview invite from this cycle. Here are my stats.

Residency: GA (born in PA)
Not URM
GPA/sGPA: 3.92/3.88
MCAT: 513
Clinical volunteer hours: ~370 (hospital, local clinic, hospice)
Non clinical volunteer hours: ~350 (feed the hungry program, local food pantry)
Research: Undergraduate lab for a year and 200 hours. No posters or publications.
Extracurriculars: Soccer coaching (80 hours), University Peer Tutoring (90 hours)

Here are some schools I applied to: MCG, Emory, Mercer, Morehouse, UAB, Wake Forest, UCF, USC Columbia, USC Greenville, ETSU, UTHSC, Duke, Miami, FSU, FAU, Vanderbilt, Lewis Katz, Penn State, VCU, Nova Southeastern

What should I do to improve my chances for next cycle?

I still think it is quite early in the cycle, so don't be discouraged yet! You have plenty of time to hear about interview invitations. I know a few of your schools haven't been active regarding interview invitations. I think your numerical stats are incredibly strong, well done! Schools really emphasize patient facing positions, so it sounds like you're doing what you need in that respect. Keep up with those activities during the cycle, always keep adding. In the mean time, stay grinding, head up, and remind yourself why you're doing it. You got this!

i also agree its a bit early to start thinking about reapplying, but if I were to say much of anything it would be to increase clinical hours (a job would look quite good) and pick up an extracurricular you are passionate about a sink a lot of hours into it (either teaching more or something related to soccer). I think it would also be worth it to apply to more schools IF you end up actually needing to reapply and add more lower-tiered schools

Current M1 here, it’s still so early in the cycle! I didn’t receive my first interview until November and only received one acceptance in late June. Like others said keep continuing to build upon your experiences and find a good hobby to do outside of medicine-related things. If you do end up having to reapply you could get more clinical hours or shadowing experience to help bolster your “why medicine”

As everyone else said, it is still very early, however, you should be trying to get more hours in the case you need to apply again. Clinical hours are low as well as research, which would impact your application for those reach programs. Vandy and Duke were donations but I and most people I know who applied put in more hail mary's on their application. Overall you have a great application, smart school list, and I would be shocked if you don't get love from at least 3 schools on that list by Christmas.
