How to improve reading section

How can I improve?

I did kaplan reading practice and did horrible.

I go straight to the question and skim the passage for the answers and loose time.

Its wierd, I don't see much discussion about the reading section.
I guess no one has trouble with the reading section except me 🙁

there are a lot of threads, actually.

basically, you do a few to get down what approach works for you, then practice.

reading a lot in your free time helps too

The reading comprehension section is kind of a weird one to study for. I took a couple practice RC tests and was pulling 17 because I was losing time. Then, on the real DAT I got a 20. I even got the infamous Piano passage! But, I actually found that passage interesting because I have a piano, so it was like I was learning more about it.

Anyways, good luck! Just keep track of timing on the exam.

Read few scientific literature papers and try to understand the theory behind on each of them. Don't read the procedure section. Read introduction, results and conclusion sections carefully.
