I am in my 3rd year right now and just got my board scores.
First 2 years I worked hard and got 248/99 step I, and was in top 5% of class.
I am also a DO student.

I think my academic stats are good, but what else can I do during 3rd year to make a strong application?

I am also considering applying only to allopathic programs. Are there any DOs out there that have gone this route, and what do they recommend I do?
Thanks

Although I'll be applying this year, the key is to continue to perform well throughout med school - which means get as many honors as possible in 3rd year. This will show that your ability to pick up a wide-breadth of knowledge and get along with just about anyone in the hospital (whether or not this may be true). Research is a plus (not as big as in other fields like rad onc though) so if you can start to make a relationship with your rads dept through research, etc that would be helpful.

Yeah, even though M3 might not seem like it has much/anything to do w/ Rads, it is vital that you get as many honors as possible. Esp Surgery/Medicine. Step 1 is nice. I would recommend looking at the radiology program websites to see which programs have matched DO students.
