There is no toggle switch or button on AACOMAS to show that a class is a repeat. How did you all circumvent this?

Also does it matter if we put a pathology class down as biology (for course classification) ? Or are they strick and would I need to put it down as pathology?

I believe you list the new class as Repeat with the credit value, then list the class you're replacing as Repeat with 0 credits.

"If you repeated a course, mark the first attempt and each additional attempt at the same or a different institution as “Repeated”. Do not mark withdrawn attempts as a repeated course. Make sure you have entered 0.00 credits for the initial attempts. Only the final attempt should receive full credit value."

I went in and marked every class that was being replaced as having "zero" credit hours, and in the Grade Area, I typed "Repeat". It accepted it, so I think its alright.

I did not type Repeat anywhere. Don't you select repeated on transcript review?

So did you type in ALL letter grades then?
Yes, of course. They asked for a letter grade, not whether or not it was repeat in the section where I was entering course work.

The instructions are fairly clear about this. Enter in 0 credits, course name, and grade. On transcript review you mark them as repeat. You should not be typing in Repeat anywhere on your application, AFAIK.

How was this accepted? That is not what the instructions say and I only care because it seems unfair of them to accept, since someone who did follow the instructions is now showing the grade that he dropped, where someone like you, isn't disclosing his previously earned grade. Grrr

Why are you getting so angry at me? I don't know, it's very confusing. I haven't submitted my app yet. Why don't you call them and ask instead of trying to ask people on a forum that don't work for aacomas???? I'm almost at the point where I'm going to spend the $55 and have them do it for me.

Relax.

Haha, my tone gave it away? I'm more inquisitive than angry!

It is really not that hard, just read the instructions. You said they accepted it, and now are saying you did not submit, so mixed messages there. I feel you may be confusing OP and many others. Be careful, please.

I said the program accepted it and didn't give me an error.(or at least meant that)

I really don't understand the problem here. If you're having issues, CALL THEM. Don't be lazy.

Why would anyone rely on random people on a forum for this kind of thing anyways? It's the most important application of your life.

AACOMAS has their official transcript. They are going to see the grade whether it is in the system or not.

Does anyone have a more clear answer? Do we mark the class as "Repeat" next to the title of the course? Or just mark it at the end?

I remember reading somewhere to mark classes as "Repeat 1" "Repeat 2" "Final Repeat". How will they know what classes replaced which if we do not mark them in this fashion?

"While AACOMAS allows applicants to classify similar coursework from separate schools as repeated, the verification staff is not responsible for determining whether the content, course level, and credit hours are equivalent. AACOMAS staff can only correct incorrectly classified repeated coursework from the same school. In order for repeated coursework across institutions to be verified as repeated, the applicant must enter the initial attempts as 0.00 credits and mark each attempt repeated during Transcript Review."

The wording here makes me feel like someone can mark almost any course as repeated if they are from separate institutions?
