(this question is more geared towards those gunners that are reaching for/already have achieved high step 1 scores (250+))

I have been working through FA/USMLeRX, and i am wondering. At a certain point, it seems that there is just too much information, in both the SCOPE of materials covered, and DEPTH of knowledge of pathological processes to every be completely prepared for the exam.

So my question is, when one reaches that point, when basic knowledge of most diseases/processes in FA are acquired, what is it more important to focus on? Adding obscure diseases (i.e. enzyme deficiencies like Morquio's/Sanfilippo Syndrome) to try to best covered the wide array of diseases out there, or continue to master the more common disease to the point that every atypical presentation or pathophys question becomes second nature?

Thanks in advance, guys =)
