Sorry not so school specific but looking for advice.
I am currently fortunate enough to have an A at my 3rd ranked school, but I am also currently waitlisted at my 1st and 2nd choices.

The two WLs have a CTE deadline of June 15th, while my A has a CTE deadline of May 30th.

To my understanding, CTE means all other As and WLs have to declined. Is there a way to navigate this situation, to either back out of the A if one of those two other schools call after the deadline? Or communicate with those schools before hand of my predicament while also expressing my desire to attend their schools?

PTE means you have narrowed your choices to one offer; you can still be on waitlists.

CTE means you commit to attend the school and have dropped all waitlists.

The CTE dates of the waitlisted schools mean nothing; you have to CTE to by the deadline for the school that offered you.
