hello, can those of you that are familiar explain, if you don't know of a schools acceptance until summer, is it too late for fafsa? How do you prepare the finances/loans to start going to school in the summer or fall if you only find out of your acceptance a couple months prior school starts? Thank you

You can add them to the FAFSA even before being accepted. Just put all the schools you are waiting for on there. The Financial aid office at the schools won't do anything with it until you are accepted but everything will be in place once you are.

does completing FAFSA now after the feb 1st (i think that is what i read) deadline, hurt me?

No, for graduate school its all loans not grants so it dosnt matter when you apply for it (well before the deadline of course is important), there is no priority for scholarships/grants like in undergrad.

Has anyone found cheaper interest rates with private loans? I think stafford loans are 5.84% and Grad PLUS are 6.84%.

My understanding is that the government releases new rates every July for the upcoming school year. So for a person starting school this Fall I don't think those rates apply. Correct me if I'm wrong
