I heard schools compare personal statements for re-applicants, so I must change up my PS. BUT,I feel I wrote it so perfect the first time. My reasons for how I knew I wanted to be a doctor arent gonna change, so I'm confused how I am supposed to do a re-write.

Changing up the opening paragraph might help. Maybe revise the order or style of the sentences? Just get someone to look it over at least. The core can remain.

If you didn't get in you need to try to fix everything.

I'm in a similar boat. I had a meeting with ADCOM for my state school a week ago and they told me I didn't get in because: 1) CARS score 2) personal statement. I wrote/edited my personal statement at least 15 times and had over 10 people read it. I thought it was fantastic but at the end of the day, we are still at the mercy of someone's subjective opinion. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to rewrite mine either as I'm a 27 yo non-trad who's app isn't going to really change apart from my MCAT score. I don't see gaining additional experiences that drive me towards medicine again apart from all I've already done.

We are kind of the.same. For me I didnt get in cause of my MCAT score. I was told my personal statement was good. But I know this school wants an new PS the second time around.

Really just cause of ur CARS score, was ur overall MCAT okay?

Overall MCAT was good enough to gain an acceptance somewhere, CARS was 122. It killed me which I was surprised about because I was scoring 126-127 fairly consistently during FL practice exams and on exam day I thought the section was pretty easy. Maybe everyone else just did really well? I don't know but yes the ADCOM specifically said "your CARS score is too low, and is alarming considering your GPA from the university you attended." It was a huge slap in the face!
