I just found out that VCU does not accept the September MCATs. I want to remove the school from my AMCAS application but I can't figure out how. I clicked the "edit" button but that does not give you the option to remove. I already withdrew my application from VCU via their online service, but I want to get it off AMCAS so I can add another school. I have the Fee Assistance and can only apply to a limited number of schools so removing VCU and adding another school would be helpful, cheaper, and allow me to "cast a wider net". But, I just can't figure it out!

Thanks.

It doesn't work that way for fee or no fee. It might make more sense for the fee waiver to remove off the list after submittal, but there is no such option if you see it from the perspective of AMCAS. Your fee makes your application visible to that school online. If they've seen it (as VCU says it has) then you spent "the fee".

Oh, I get it. Thanks. I am just mad because I added them yesterday when I decided to apply to more schools and found out today that they do not accept the Sept. mcats. Oh well, I guess that is what I get for not doing a little more research. I should have waited to add them.

do you know if i can remove schools AFTER i already submitted my AAMCA and add another school?? Basically, I guess what I am trying to say is can I call them and add them to switch out school for me?
I just realized that i applied to one of the school in florida that does not really want non-resident.

I'm pretty sure once you submit the AMCAS, you can't remove schools. Just don't turn in the secondary from that school.

This is correct. When you submitted your AMCAS, there was a thing to read that talked about how no matter if you aren't eligible for the schools you applied for, you can't switch them out or get your money back.
