How to select school before May 15th?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I thought the deadline was may 30th? I was just pulled off the waitlist at another school I really like, now I have to decide between 2 in less than two weeks? I don't even have financial aid for either.

This is probably a dumb question, but how/where do you select the one school before the May deadline? On the AMCAS application site?

thanks
Formally withdraw from all schools but one. Call each school and ask if email is sufficient, if you can do so by phone, of if they require a writen withdrawal with your signature. You can also ask how they will return your deposit, so you know when to expect it if cash is getting short.

Yes, it's May 15. You can probably keep two schools after that date while waiting for financial aid information, provided you keep in touch with both schools about the reason for the delay. But you won't get any deposit back after May 15.

Do i need to contact the school I am matriculating at?

The deadline is indeed May 15th. Here is the official rule from AAMC

By May 15 of the matriculation year (April 15 for schools whose first day of class is on or before July 30), April 30 for M.D.-Ph.D. programs, each applicant who has received an offer of acceptance from more than one school or program choose the specific school or program at which the applicant prefers to enroll and withdraw his or her application, by written correspondence delivered by regular or electronic methods, from all other schools or programs from which acceptance offers have been received.
