how to send update to the adcoms?

How do you send out updates to the medical schools? Do you just write a letter in which you include everything? or do you write a letter to the office of admissions asking them if they would be so kind to attach the enclosed documents to your file, and write on a separate piece of paper the update.
I am just very confused
 
CALL the admissions office and ask this question, then do it exactly the way they tell you to.

Each school is different, and most are so busy that they won't bother with your stuff if you don't submit it in the required format.
 
Every update I have sent in, I have done through email. Each time I got a reply thank me for the update and informing me they would add the email to my file. During an interview my file was open and I saw one of the update emails I had sent. So this method does work.
 
What are you sending in? Are you sending grade updates?
 
I wanted to send in new titles of papers that I have published and new volunteer work that I have been doing since the AMCAS application and secondary was submitted. I am not in school anymore 🙂
