I HATE these types of questions. Like a LOT. I'm doing Bootcamp RC and more than half of the ones that I miss are those stupid types of questions... I just have no idea how to solve them.

I don't know how to breakdown the questions at all. For example, from a Bootcamp exam the sentence was something along the lines of:

"Life was impossible immediately after the Big Bang because the earth had not yet formed."

I picked "The statement is true, but the reason is false," because yes, life wasn't possible immediately after the Big Bang, but it was because of really hot temperatures, not because the earth wasn't formed.

Yet the answer was "The statement and reason are true, but unrelated."

WTF? Like am I supposed to read these at exactly face value and go from there? Like no **** the earth hadn't formed yet, but that's not the damn reason why life wasn't possible.

So what should I do? Did anyone have trouble with these/can explain these? I'm kinda annoyed at them lol.

Thanks guys!

EDIT: It should be noted that I have no problem understanding/reading the passages... it's just those damn questions. I ended up with 39/50 right (equated to a 20 on this test), but 7 of those wrong were stupid statement/reason questions.
