this coming Monday I have a test coming up for Biochem, a class I have not been doing so hot in!!!

I ended up getting a bad grade on the 1st two tests and the class average was low so I guess my grades were not that bad (54 and a 61).

problem is for the first two tests I didnt study as much because I had two other tests that day. The upcoming test I have done some reading for and it is going to be over:

1. DNA and RNA (general information)
2. DNA replication
3. RNA synthesis
4. Gene expression

I have not read the chapters, I have barely looked over the notes, and I feel a bit hopeless going into Monday.

I say just keep studying hard and ace the rest of the semester and the professors should throw some kind of curve at the end. No need to stress anymore because the more you stress the more you put yourself into a deeper hole. Go see the professor during office hours, get some tutoring, and start studying for an exam at least a week ahead of time.

Today is Tuesday. You have six days to git on it.

Gotta know the concepts and which minutiae to master.

Is it chem or bio based? keep drawing out mechanisms you're suppose to remember if it's chem based...

What textbook do you use? I used Lehninger's and practiced from the online quizzes to reinforce the concepts. Plus, Sporcle helps a lot in memorizing enzymes and substrates, though be warned that the some of them can be wrong. If anything, i'd take a drawing board and map out the pathways repeatedly until you get it down.

That is exactly what we are doing in genetics. I have been very successful just reading the chapters and taking notes/sketching diagrams on printer paper.
