While on my ortho rotation, the residents were passing around this little gem, a parody/metaphor on life in academia (applies quite well to residency)...
I don't know where it was originally published, but I tracked down a copy on the web (amusingly enough, on UPenn's surgical clerkship web site). Recommended reading, especially for new interns:
