Hi,
I'm almost done with my first run of Taus method. Planning to take one NBME in about 2 weeks. How would you recommend me taking it, timed, untimed? Do people always publish their scores on NBME while been able to look for answers in books or by just simulating a real exam, timed, no books around?

Thanks for the kind replies.

You should take it timed and without any books around. The NBME exam is a great predictor of your score on the exam and will give you a good idea of where you stand. You need to take it under exam conditions (timed, no books, notes, etc) so you can get the best possible estimation of your score. My understanding is that everyone does it that way, but I could be wrong.

Thanks! I wasn't able to take it then. Family issues... I picked up a couple of weeks ago and started doing uw. So far not too bad. 63% cumul percent with +60% qs left. Do you recommend any particular nbme form? I plan to take 2-3 before my exam in about 4 wks.
Thanks for the reply.
