So I just finished my first interview... and had a few questions about writing Thank you notes. What do you think about the following:

Personalized handwritten note vs. Professional typed letter

Notes for ALL interviewers vs. Note to the Program Director vs. BOTH

Any advice would be much appreciated! 😍

Truth: it doesn't matter; nobody cares.

I'm sort of a minimalist, so I wrote a quick brief combined thank you letter addressed to the entire committee and emailed it to the head of the committee.

I would advise against thank you letters since it'll only waste your time...if you REALLY feel obliged to write a letter, just write an EMAIL to the PD and the Chair if they happened to have interviewed you. The letters via snail mail will just end up in the trash, or your "file" and never get read.
