Whats the best avenue to take when one wants to leave the country? If everything works out I will have an off semester before med school and would really like to go abroad. I'm not made of money though. I left the country once in college but it was paid for by the school. Since I won't be enrolled in an institution that won't be an option.

I'm in a pretty rigorous program until then so I don't really have time to work and save a ton of money, any suggestions?

just travel.. i'm leaving on December 25 for Europe, and not coming back till June... its not to expensive, if you know who to find cheap flights (easyjet, ryanair) and are willing to live in hostels.. i've only spent about $1000 on flights from the US to europe on to india, and back... so its definitely doable

and don't let people tell you to save your money to pay off future debts... worry about that later.. enjoy your money on yourself right now.. because you're not going to be able to again for 7-8 years
