I just started going through DAT Biology and it's killing me!! I can barely answer any questions with confidence. I have no idea if the bio on Destroyer is overkill or not - I'm studying it as if its on par with the real deal.

How do you guys study with Destroyer Bio?

Btw I have only taken GBio so I'm learning a lot of Bio from scratch.

Hey,
so i used DAT destroyer last. First i went over kaplan bio, then i went over cliffs AP bio, did topscore practice quizzes and then i went to destroyer. I feel like i know the bio section pretty well, i scored a 24 on bio with topscore and then when i got to destroyer......there was defintley lots of random questions i didnt even know? so i just review them and mark them but theres only so much information my brain can retain!! im ASSUMING destroyer may be overkill to try and prep you with all POSSIBLE material.

I felt the exact same on Monday. So much random stuff. BUT don't let it get you down...look at it this way:

Go back and look at all the answer choices that were true facts that you had no idea about. Jot them down, and go over them a few times before the test...one of those strange facts may help you in the end.

I think the Destroyer BIO isn't necessarily what you're going to see on the DAT, but it'll definitely show you where you weaknesses were. So far I know I'm weak in plants, animal diversity, embryology, endocrinology, and taxonomy. Haha..sounds like a lot, but it'll definitely show you what you need to practice. So I went back on Monday night and watched the 5min videos over plants, and I can't say how great it was to have somebody explain to me what a "cotyledon" was. I'm going to watch more videos on the others, as well as read my notes.

The best material shows you what you don't know, and therefore need to study more of.

Where did you find those topscore practice quizzes? I've heard of topscore but not their practice quizzes.

I'm pretty sure he meant Topscore exams.

Baylor where are these bio videos you speak of??

Should I go over both right and wrong answers, or just the right answers for bio?

Some of the choices are really out there and I cant even find some things in my Campbells book to find out why it is wrong.

Does Destroyer base his questions off a particular textbook?
