doctors fees in the US ue

does it really cost the system in the us $480 to do a pre op assessment. and how much of that does the doc get. are those calculations correct? 1.25mil per year??? 😱 😱
 
Later in the article, it mentions that the docs only take home around 10% of the fees.
 
According to that idiot's math, internists make 1.25 million per year.

What a joke. I'd say less than 1% of internists make that kind of bank.

Try more like 10% of that number. 115k sounds a lot more like the average to me.
 
It would depend on what's included in that pre-op assessment. It probably includes lab work and everyone who takes part in a person's care before surgery.
