How much does a delayed graduation hurt an app?

Im a Non - Carribean U.S. Citizen IMG (yes I should’ve stayed in the states for med school).

I’ll be applying to IM this year, but I’m graduating in September. Due to processing delays, I probably won’t be ECFMG Certified until October ish?

How much does this mess w my application? I know I only have to be ECFMG verified to participate in the match, but I’m unsure how programs will view this.

Pass/250 with 2 months USCE and 5 papers (low - medium impact, first author) if that helps at all.

Won't matter. IMG's graduate off cycle all the time for all sorts of reasons. And the ECFMG cert is unlikely to matter either.

As long as you've passed Step 1 and Step 2 by September - thus being ECFMG verified - the ECFMG certification doesn't matter. Plenty of foreign grads match before they graduate, thus getting the certification even after they match. No big deal.
