So the college I am attending this fall has a certificate in Health Care Writing available, which basically consists of professional writing, nutrition, and humanities courses with concentrations in medicine and healthcare.

How useful would this be for the PT profession? Would it open more doors for me? Can it help with salary?

Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly what the class entails, but it doesn't sound like it would help immensely or give you a better salary. In PT school you will learn how to write up proper documentation and SOAP notes, and during clinical you learn about discharge notes, letters to doctors, etc. (at least in my case).

Won't do much at all when it comes to salary. Will probably help you with your own documentation, but that's about it. You will learn this in PT school.
