Im looking for any information you guys(and gals) have on how each of the following schools grade/handle retaking prereqs.
-Virginia/Maryland: Ive found that The only take retakes if original is c- or worse and then they average the two.
-Wisc?
-UGA?
-KST?
-MISS ST?
-MINN?

I am not sure how these schools handle retakes. Your best option is to look at their admission websites and see what each school says. It will most likely be on their admission pages. They all do things differently. If it is still unclear, then I would contact admissions of each and see what they say.

Sometimes they change from year to year, so it is best to get the information straight from the schools.

Sorry if I am not much help.

Sigh.

I really don't mind answering questions for pre-vets, but sometimes I see questions that just annoy me because they're so incredibly easy to answer with just the tiniest bit of digging.

Adambuff: UMN very (very, very, very) clearly explains how they handle repeated courses in their conveniently named "Admissions Planning Guide," which is available on their website in the intuitively and appropriately named "Prospective DVM Students" page. In the planning guide, there's actually a paragraph in the "Admissions Requirements & Policies" section called "Repeated Coursework" that gives a specific answer to your question.

If you'd just, you know, make a tiny effort to look, the info is there for you.

So, start at http://www.cvm.umn.edu and start following the links that make sense. Good luck.

I have stopped answering some of these really specific questions that are basically asking us to go google stuff for them. I figure that if they can't put in the effort to look for the answer, then how are they going to fair in vet school when you have to dig and search and dig for answers? Might as well give them a crash course in searching now.

ACTUALLY, I spent a fair amount of time on all of these school's FAQ and general and admissions pages, that could be how I found VMR's info(gasp). I also shortly after posting this I found LSU information. So it's no like I didn't try first it is however possible I overlooked some of them, so maybe just maybe I was looking for someone with personal experience from these schools...Thanks for the "help"

If the information is difficult to find on the website, I suggest calling the schools. For something specific like this, I personally prefer to know exactly what they think from them. But that's just me.

Yeah it was just the weekend and I was curious I plan to call today 🙂
