OOS Rejection
Parker typically will send out an email soon with that information and about being added to the facebook group soon if he hasn’t already!Any idea on the date(s)?
Yes! You’ll get an email about accepted students day where you’ll do all that you’ve mentioned. Parker typically sends an email about all of that after decisions have been released so you should receive it soonDoes anyone know if there is an accepted students day? A lot of schools will have a tour, student panel, etc.
I think this is hard to judge and a very personal question. I am disabled and LGBTQ+ and I withdrew my application from UGA for this reason. But there are others who would feel perfectly safe or don’t care - but I know myself and knew that I would not thrive. It’s personal preference, though obviously I think in the current climate be mindful. Most colleges will be largely progressive themselves.OOS acceptance! Does anyone know if the student body leans politically/socially conservative? Is it a progressive space? - somebody from the northeast 😅
UGA is such a big school that there's going to be a wide variety of opinions on any given topics. For example, a few years ago I heard about some people (not students) protesting abortion on campus with some very graphic pictures, but there were also people loudly protesting that those people were there.OOS acceptance! I went to a big university in the midwest and a group protested there on the main drag of campus too (possibly the same group, because very graphic pictures were displayed). And the usual 'preacher types' that come around yelling about our sins. These characters show up at every public university because they cannot actually be made to leave campus if everything stays peaceful.UGA is such a big school that there's going to be a wide variety of opinions on any given topics. Thanks everyone! I was referring to the CVM in particular, but this is all very helpful!
This is also a good question. Honestly I bet you'll find a good mix, probably leaning left for the most part still, regardless of what school you're attending. Based on the nature of the typical vet school class composition, there will most likely be a small % of students that you will expect to be conservative, and they will in fact be conservative (I'll let you use your imagination here). Thanks everyone! As a current first year, the cvm student body is very liberal and LGBTQ friendly. A good bit of my classmates are LGBTQ openly and everyone embraces and treats each other all the same. The CVM does a great job at creating an inclusive and diverse environment full of collaboration! Obviously there are some conservatives throughout but so far there hasn’t been a problemOOS acceptance! Does anyone know if the student body leans politically/socially conservative? Ah, you’ve reminded me of the Willard preacher at Penn State, he was at least active until 2012 and he was a campus staple because everyone loved to go harass him.And the usual 'preacher types' that come around yelling about our sins.
HES STILL HERE!!!Ah, you’ve reminded me of the Willard preacher at Penn State, he was at least active until 2012 and he was a campus staple because everyone loved to go harass him.
Message me! Also, I’m IS if that makes a differencethose who didn’t get in and it was your 3rd/4th try, can i ask your stats? i know uga is gpa heavy and im really scared my gpa isn’t going to be enough. this was my second cycle - the only people i know that have gotten in on their second try both had 3.9-4.0 gpas. i am losing all hope going into my third cycle.
I was an in state acceptance! Does anyone know how many applied this go around. Was my second year applying.
They recently redid the curriculum and the students feedback was overwhelmingly positive. You get to do stitches week [emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]] of first year, you are getting hands in with live animals within your first year too. They are doing the pass/fail curriculum but the students say it helps them be less competitive with one another and is reflective of how you will operate in real life (you either succeed or you don’t. You don’t get a grade in real life). They do have it worked out where if you want to apply for residency they can send your class ranking and all that. They are renovating the “classic campus” for [emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]]]st and [emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji638][emoji639][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]]]nd year but the facility is already super nice. -YesLet me try that again:
Do you start clinics the fall of junior year?
Are you on main campus or vet campus for classes freshman and sophomore year?
Basically what is the overall structure of the new program year by year if anyone knows?
Thanks!!
Someone on the APVMA Facebook group said they'll be declining their IS seat! Someone should hopefully be getting good news soonHas anyone heard from the waitlist?🥹
I heard a student at some point say it's all Apple productsdoes anyone know the technology requirements for UGA
I got an email! They changed it to allow for Windowswhere were the computer guidelines released?
Admissions can't tell us our waitlist positions until April 16th so I'm just waiting until then to call them. They might be waiting till then to pull people anyway since April 15 is the waitlist acceptance deadline as wellHas anyone contacted admissions for an update?
